Ans: Tennyson had a unhappy childhood with a violent father and to escape from his grief he started writing poetry in his childhood. (টেনিছনৰ এজন হিংসাত্মক পিতৃৰ সৈতে এটা অসুখী শৈশৱ আছিল আৰু তেওঁৰ দুখৰ পৰা পৰিত্ৰাণ পাবলৈ তেওঁ শৈশৱতে কবিতা লিখিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিছিল।)

Ans: According to the poet 'vanished hand' means that the memorise of his dead friend and his feelings of touches. He feels that when he is alone there is always a vanished hand to hold him. 5. Compare the feelings of the poet and other other people mention in the poem.
Ans: The waves of the sea remimds the poet the destructive forces of nature and by standing on the sea shore he laments for his dead friend. The poet feels the presence of his dead friend. On the other hand other people are indifferent to the passing of time.

The above lines have been quoted from the poem ' Break Break Break ' by lord Alfred Tennyson.
By the line the poet expresses the memory of his dead friend and his feelings of touches and the sound which makes all calm quiet.
